The Osprey CE Spinning Reel by Florida Fishing Products is the carbon-frame version of the Osprey SS (Saltwater Series). The carbon edition (CE) includes a lighter overall weight without compromising any of the strength and power of these incredible spinning reels. In addition to the carbon frame, these reels include improved saltwater protection for those rugged days on the water.
Each Osprey CE Spinning Reel includes 8 ball bearings plus 2 eco-sealed ball bearings that make this one of the smoothest reels you've ever used. It has a carbon fiber disc drag system that reduces grinding to make the drag smooth and powerful for landing large fish. The 1000, 2500, and 3500 are ideal for inshore fishing and can be used to target anything from trout, redfish, snook, small bottom fish and more!
Each Osprey CE Spinning Reel model is available with a standard handle or power handle for improved comfort and leverage. The spool is braid-ready and can be used with any of your favorite mono or braid options. The drag clicker on these reels was specifically designed to be loud and audible for easy adjustments of drag tension.
